Vintage & Vineyard
The 2004 growing season featured a warm late winter, cold, wet spring, mild summer temperatures, and several heat spikes during late September. Classic Indian summer weather prevailed in October, extending the harvest and ensuring our Muscat grapes raisined to perfection for this luscious Passito wine.

Winemaking
The raisined grapes were slowly fermented in neutral French Nevers oak barrels and then aged in those barrels for two years.

Winemaker’s Notes
In the Italian tradition, we make a small amount of late-harvest raisin wine (“Passito”), which ferments slowly and ages two years in neutral French oak barrels. It offers fragrant aromas and luscious flavors of honeyed fig, butterscotch and ripe pear. Delicious young, it will reward long-term cellaring. Enjoy with carmelized desserts such as crème brulee and bananas foster, also with fruit tarts and robust cheeses.
